Hummingbird Healing is an Arizona-based counseling and therapy practice founded by Rachel Hamel, MAS-MFT, LMFT. The practice is dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges with compassion and clarity. Offering both individual therapy and couples counseling, the practice takes a supportive, holistic approach that emphasizes openness, connection, and personal growth. Guided by systemic, somatic, and experiential methods, Hummingbird Healing creates a safe space where clients can explore their stories, strengthen relationships, and move toward lasting healing and meaningful change.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized experience working with couples and adults across the lifespan. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Experiential and Somatic Therapies, emphasizing the mind-body connection to promote deep emotional processing and healing. I also integrate expressive arts and other creative interventions to support exploration and self-expression in ways that go beyond words.
In my practice, I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Systemic Family Therapies, Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness practices, and Attachment Theory. This integrative framework allows me to tailor our work to fit your unique needs, goals, and experiences.
I have experience supporting clients through a wide range of issues, including trauma, relationship concerns, family stressors, life transitions, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, work-related stress, multicultural concerns, adjustment difficulties, and attachment-related patterns.
